Yak-130 trainer will undergo flight tests in March 2008

In March this year Yak-130 will be tested. Yak-130 is in finalization stage in the Nizhny Novgorod aircraft plant as per Deputy Chief of Air Force weapons, Lieutenant General Alexander Pavlov.

He said that building, the fourth of its kind, the aircraft was from the funds obtained in the course of settling the insurance loss due to the accident the third Yak-130, which crashed on July 26, 2006, in the Ryazan region.

Fourth Yak-130 will participate in the testing complex avionics and weapons. With nine hard points Yak-130 can be used as a light combat aircraft. It can carry a combat load weighing up to three tons.
