The Israeli Security Cabinet has decided to liberalize the system by which civilian goods enter Gaza and expand the inflow of materials for civilian projects under international supervision. However, Israel says that it will continue its existing security procedures to prevent the inflow of weapons and war material.

The Israeli cabinet will decide in the coming days on additional steps to implement this policy.
