U.S pacific command assists China with humanitarian relief

KADENA AIR BASE, Okinawa - A C-17 from Elmendorf Air Force Base, Alaska, sits on the ramp here while food and cold weather supplies prepare to be loaded onto another C-17 from Hickam Air Force Base, Hawaii, Feb. 8. U.S. Pacific Command coordinated the delivery of the humanitarian supplies to People’s Liberation Army at Shanghai International Airport, China. Recently, 19 Chinese provinces experienced the most severe winter storms in 50 years, imposing severe hardships on millions of Chinese citizens.

Many parts of China are experiencing their worst weather in 50 years.

Snowstorms have made it very difficult for millions of Chinese people. Chinese government is not able to cope up with the situation.

Many countries have pledged aid to China. Chinese government deployed just half a million troops from a total strength of above 2 million troops.
