Three Kashmiri Cricket players to be trained at National Academies
By Frontier India News Network (FINN) | January 24th, 2012 | Category: Cricket | No Comments »Indian Army has selected three promising players from Kashmir to be trained in Indian Cricket academies, in consonance with the commitment made by Lieutenant Geneneral SA Hasnain, GOC 15 Corps during the conduct of Kashmir Premier League (KPL) Chinar Cup-2011.
The three promising players were selected under the guidance of Bishan Singh Bedi (Former Indian Cricketer) are being dispatched for specialisation training at National Level Cricket Academies.
The names of the players include, Nasir Lone of Bandipur, Ubaid Amin and Danish Muzzafar of Ganderbal. These players will attend professional training at MRF Pace Academy at Chennai from 27 Jan 12 to 06 Feb 12. Subsequently, the players would also be trained at Madan Lal Cricket Academy at Delhi from 10 Feb 12 to 30 Apr 12.
The Indian army statement said “it is for certain that the players will benefit immensely from the training imparted at these institutions of national repute and would further fine tune their cricketing skills thereby making them perform even better in the future.”
