Russian missile forces plan 11 launches in 2008

In the 2008 year Russian missile forces are scheduled for 11 RVSN missile launches. Three launches of RS-12M, RS-18 and RS-20 missiles will be as a part of service life extension. Two test flights of RS -24 will be for testing and deployment. Three launches will be to confirm the reliability of ICBMs that have been removed from combat duty. Tests will also involve launching of spacecraft to be simultaneous put into orbit, and a launch to test future missile hardware.
In the year 2007, 8 missile launches were held. RS-18 missiles test from the Baikonur Cosmodrome on November 29, 2007 showed the reliability of the missile that operated 30 years, three times higher than the warranty.
Under a program Dnepr , the heavy RS-20 ICBM are under testing. RS-20 rockets are launched both from Baikonur and the pilot and testing base of the Yasnino unit with close collaboration between military specialists and Russian and Ukrainian enterprises.
