The Russian Victory parade, which will take place on Red Square on May 9 this year, will involve air defence system S-300 and warplanes, said Special Forces commander Colonel General Yuri Solovyov.
In addition Flight groups “Russian Knights” and “Swift” will feature Su-27 and MiG-29 respectively. In all 32 aircraft’s will be involved and SU-25’s will perform aerobatic displays. He said that the Russian president has approved the plan.
He also said that the second Regiment, equipped with anti-aircraft missile systems S-400 Triumph, will be put to service deployment in Moscow in late 2008. “We have already begun to receive supplementary equipment for the regiment” – the commander said.
