Army Commander Alexander Belevich announced today that the 16th air force regiment of the Russian air force will receive Su-34 aircraft by 2008 end.

Multipurpose aircraft Su-34 are in series production in Novosibirsk aircraft factory, which is a part of “Sukhoi” holding. Russia claims that the Su-34 regardless of the time of day and weather can effectively engage in any geographic area, i.e, ground, sea and aerial targets with the application of entire nomenclature of aircraft ammunition, including of high-precision.

The combat capabilities Su-34 are similar to the 4+ generation of aircrafts . The presence of active safety systems together with the newest computers makes it possible to create additional opportunities for the pilot and navigator for pinpoint bombing and to maneuver under the enemy fire.

Excellent aerodynamics, a large internal storage capacity of fuel tanks, engines with a double-speed digital control system, air refueling, as well as additional fuel tanks provide Su-34 long-range flight, which are similar to flying ranges of strategic bombers.
