Passion is my life: Cricket Legend Kapil Dev

Hyderabad: “I played cricket with passion, passion is my life. If you have passion for life you can achieve anything” said Cricket Legend and Former Indian Cricket Skipper Kapil Dev here at Hyderabad today. He was in city to attend the Silver Jubilee celebrations of city’s Uniglobe Sameera Travel started by Former Ranji Cricket player and his fellow cricketer Vijay Mohan Raj.

The company had organised a Meet & Greet with Kapil Dev for its privileged customers, employees and guests. Kapil Dev congratulated Vijay Mohan Raj on his success, he said that it is very difficult to start a new innings after playing cricket all along. He shared his own experiences and said that to be called ‘retired’ at the age of 35 made him feel bad. He said he was very happy to see the success achieved by a fellow cricketer. Remembering his old days Kapil Dev said that the first time he traveled by air was from Hyderabad to Delhi.

Kapil’s friend and fellow cricketer and qualified Cricket coach National Cricket Academy, the training wing of BCCI Vijay Mohan Raj, Managing Director of Uniglobe Sameera Travel said that Kapil had carried the load of Indian expectations for 131 test matches not even getting hurt once. Besides being a good cricketer and a legend Kapil also is a good leader. Speaking further he explained how his Table & Chair travel agency rose to a corporate travel agency with over 50 staff members, two branches and 40 crores turnover. And added that they would like to promote Cricket tourism to promote cricket among the 110 International Cricket Council (ICC) countries and help them move forward to get the status of test cricket playing country. He recalled the 25 years journey and thanked his customers, friends and employees on the occasion.
