Lt. Gen Nanda Is The New Director General Border Roads

Lt Gen AK Nanda has taken over as new Chief of Border Roads Organisation.

Lt Gen AK Nanda is an alumnus of National Defence Academy, Pune, Defence Services Staff College, Wellington, Army War College, Mhow and National Defence College. The General Officer was commissioned into Bengal Sappers in Dec 1969. In his 38 years of illustrious service in the Army, the General Officer has held varied command and staff appointments. These include the Command of an Engr Regt, an Engineer Brigade and General Officer Commanding 101 Area. He has held instructional appointments at College of Military Engineering, Pune and Defence Services Staff College, Wellington. Before taking over as Director General Border Roads, the General Officer was ADG (Engineer Staff) in E-in-C’s Branch.

Lt Gen Nanda succeeds Lt Gen KS Rao, who superannuated on Sep 30, 2007.
