Indian Army downs two Lashkar terrorists in Pulwama, Kashmir

Kashmir: Indian Security Forces today killed two Lashkar E Taiba (LeT) terrorists in Kashmir Valley. Based on a specific information about presence of two terrorists in village Udu, District Pulwama, a joint operation was launched by 55 Rashtriya Rifles and Special Operation Group Pulwama on 03 February 12 at 1820 hours.

The terrorists, who were hidden in a house, when challenged, fired upon the troops thus triggering the encounter. During the ensuing gunfight, both the terrorists were killed on 04 February 12 at 1100 hours.

They have been identified as Aashiq Husain Shah & Mudasir Ahmed Sheikh alias Umar Khitab belonging to LeT Tanzeem. Mudasir Ahmed Sheikh along with Aashiq Husain Shah were operating in South Kashmir and were active since 2010. Two AK-47 rifles along with ammunition were recovered from the terrorists.
