Army launches anti terrorist operation in Sopore
By (FINN) Frontier India News Network | February 21st, 2012 | No Comments »Sopore: Indian Army and the Jammu and Kashmir state police today launched anti-terrorist operations in the general area of Sopore today.
Army sources say that the operation began based on intelligence inputs regarding presence of unidentified terrorists near Maminabad area near Sopore by pass on 21 February 2012.
A joint operation was launched by troops of 22 Rashtriya Rifles and Jammu and Kashmir Police Sopore. A
At approx 1345 hours, the contact was established with terrorists resulting in injury to one jawan, who has been evacuated.
The operation is currently in progress said the Army official.
