Chef Sahil Arora
Executive Chef, Courtyard by Marriott, Gurgaon, Chef Sahil Arora began his culinary journey eleven years ago in 1998. Chef Sahil areas of expertise include Japanese, Thai and Chinese cuisine and he also possesses strong skills in French and Italian cooking. He trained in Osaka for sushi, sashimi and teppanyaki and was responsible for upgrading and introducing new Japanese dishes at the Hyatt Regency Delhi. His passion for Thai cuisine is also reflected in his close involvement in the successful opening of the Oriental Restaurant, 19 Oriental Avenue at
Shangri-La, which received the Times Food Award for the best Thai food for two years in a row. In his last assignment prior to joining the Courtyard by Marriott, Gurgaon, he has successfully promoted Japanese, Lebanese and Italian food at the Imperial.Chef Sahil counts chefs Gordan Ramsey, Jamie Oliver and Ferran Adria amongst his key influences and has his own show to just them. The show is called “Health Mange More” which plays on Chef Sanjeev Kapoor’s channel “Food Food”. An alumnus of the Institute of Advanced Management, Kolkata, Chef Sahil enjoys cooking fusion food in his free time to pamper his wife Manisha. He also likes to relax by watching movies and playing with his pet dog Buddy.
