Contract Extension to Continue C-130 Aircrew and Maintenance Training
Lockheed Martin has received a $45.9 million contract extension from the U.S. Air Force to continue its support of the C-130 Aircrew Training System (ATS), including several modifications to the training devices and curriculum.
Lockheed Martin provides C-130 Aircrew Training for the U.S. Air Force, Navy, Marines, Coast Guard and National Guard and Reserve units, as well as more than 25 international customers.
The C-130 ATS contract was competitively awarded to Lockheed Martin in 1999, with a one-year base period and nine extension options. This is the eighth extension of the contract.
In addition to operating the Little Rock AFB schoolhouse, Lockheed Martin provides continuation and refresher training at Dobbins ARB, GA, Dyess AFB, TX; Pope AFB, NC; McChord AFB, WA, and Minneapolis ANGB, MN. The ATS program also provides learning centers for self- paced ground continuation training at Yokota AB, Japan; Elmendorf AFB, Alaska; and Ramstein AB Germany.
The C-130 ATS provides academic and simulator training for C-130 weapon system aircrews and maintenance personnel. Located at Little Rock AFB, Arkansas, the schoolhouse is the Department of Defense’s formal C-130 training center.
