Kolkata: Veteran actress Moonmoon Sen along with her daughter, actress Raima Sen, visited Senco Gold Jewellers in Kolkata on May 7 to shop for eternal white platinum jewellery. They were consulted by renowned Bengali astrologer and vastuvid, Sri Vivekanand Sastri who explained how platinum jewellery is considered auspicious during this period for its pure and eternal white features. The mother daughter duo also launched the new platinum jewellery collection by Senco Gold Jewellers for Akshaya Trithya, starting from Rs. 12000 onwards.

Ravi Teja – Shruthi Hassan Balpu to be shot in Portugal

Chennai: Action romance movie Balpu by Brahmanandam and Ravi Teja is scheduled to be filmed in Portugal, making it first ever Indian movie to be shot in that country. With the efforts of Tourism Portugal, the makers have decided to shoot two songs in the country’s un-touched locations. AA Globe Services PVT LTD, the representatives of Tourism Portugal, is specialized in organizing International shoot of Indian films. Latest being Dhoom 3 in Switzerland which had a spend over 1 million Euro for a 7 days of shoot.

The songs will be choreographed by India’s well known choreographer Raju Sundaram. One of the two songs will be filmed in the city backdrop and the other will be in the natural beauty of Algarve. “An important thing to know about movie making is to bring new and un-touched locations around the world to Indian audience. We are happy to find them here” says Prasad V. Potluri, producer of BALUPU.

We will have many projects coming here in the near future. We look at spending over 100,000 Euros per movie in Portugal” said Rengarajan Jaiprakash, Director at AA Globe Services.

Shruthi Hassan is playing the love interest of the hero in the movie, which is under PVP Cinema banner. The music is being composed by S.S. Thaman and the film is to be directed by Gopichand Malieni. The movie is estimated to release around May 2013 with the budget over 5 million Euro.

Sachin Tendulkar makes an animated TV debut

Mumbai: Sachin Tendulkar is now making his television debut in an animated 3D CGI action, comedy and adventure animation avatar, Master Blasters. The series is co- produced by Shemaroo Entertainment Ltd. and Moonscoop LLC. This is the first time that an Indian cricketer or sportsperson will be seen in an animated avatar on World television.

“Master Blasters” Season One will comprise 26 episodes of 22 minutes each. In Master Blasters, cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar is appointed by The Programme for International Training of Cricket Heroes (PITCH), to head a training camp for the finest young cricket talents from around the world. While coaching and teaching the young hopefuls the finer points of the game, Sachin also mentors them to be grounded and unspoiled humanitarians.

As ambassadors for the sport, the kids play a series of international, competitive matches in a futuristic, high-tech, spaceship-like cricket stadium that can actually fly and land anywhere in the world! Meanwhile, another cricket camp headed by the envious cricket star Peter is secretly determined to have his team humiliate Sachin’s protégés – by any means necessary. High spirited and adventurous, Master Blasters, featuring the central character of Sachin, along with twelve kids and a dog, is animated with fun filled, 3D comedy action and cricket.

Sachin Tendulkar, the cricket legend, remarked “I have always been fascinated with the world of animation and have enjoyed watching it with my children. The challenge for the production team will be to ensure that some human values and learnings are imparted while continuing to entertain the viewers through the series. It will indeed be a different experience to see one’s own rendition on the animated screen, performing larger than life action much beyond the limitation of the real world!”

New Delhi: VICTORINOX SWISS ARMY has released a Pre-Basel MAVERICK watch, which comes in 4 colours, mostly in monochrome. Other features include a two-tone bracelet (steel/gold PVD) and a gold PVD-coated steel case. All versions have Swiss Made Ronda quartz movements.

A sleek dial gives it greater readability. Some markings have been replaced by diamond indexes. Differences in depth and surface treatment – sandblasted and circular satin-polishing – provide more clarity and brilliance. The model comes in a new range of colours, with matching lacquered unidirectional bezels and, in some versions, matching rubber straps.

Mona Singh’s MMS Morphed says cyber forensic experts

Mumbai: Actress Mona Singh, Jassi from TV soap Jassi Jaise Koi Nahin’ is currently facing real life situation. A MMS was circulated showing her partially clothed. The 32-year-old actress was busy shooting for her television series “Kya Hua Tera Vaada”, when she learnt about it. She says she was shattered and complained to Cyber Crime Cell.

A source close to the actor said, “The MMS of the model, who resembles the television actress, is purposely leaked to tarnish her image. She is one of the most successful actresses and perhaps someone cannot digest it.”

Mona Singh contends that the MMS is fake. Now senior crime branch officer too has confirmed that Mona’s face was morphed. They further added that the cyber forensic experts at the Cyber Lab have concluded that the video shot seemed to have been superimposed.

As per IT Act 2000 in continue with IPC 1860 the web portals that carry the explicit content would be penalized.

Mumbai: PVR Pictures have released the latest poster of Jesse Eisenberg starrer ‘Now You See Me’ in India. Directed by Louis Leterrier of The Incredible Hulk fame, the movie is an upcoming magic laced heist thriller

The movie pits an elite FBI squad in a game of cat and mouse against “The Four Horsemen”, a super-team of the world’s greatest illusionists. The fast paced thriller revolves around the FBI agents who track a team of illusionists who pull off a bank heist during their performances and reward their audiences with money. Paramount Pictures to release Star Trek Into Darkness in India on 17th May

Mumbai: Star Trek movie lovers in India have good news, as Paramount Pictures has announced the release of ‘Star Trek Into Darkness’ by launching the poster of the movie.

The second installment of J.J. Abrams’ successful 2009 reboot of the franchiseis titled ‘Star Trek Into Darkness’ and will be released in 3D. The trailer of the film will be out today and the sequel has been scheduled for theatrical release on the 17th of May in India.

Nikhil Advani wins National Award for 3D movie Delhi Safari

Mumbai: Nikhil Advani is among the 60th National Film Award winners for his 3D movie Delhi Safari. Released on the 19th of October 2012, the film has won the award of the Best Animation Film category. Delhi Safari is an interesting journey with cross-cultural characters. The film highlights the real world themes about urban sprawl and the effects of humanity on the global ecosystem.

The plot is about a group of animals, including a cub lion, lioness, parrot, monkey and a bear head to Delhi to ask the parliament why the forest they live in is on the verge of destruction.

Mumbai: Vindu Dara Singh, is playing the role of Hanuman in movie Goswami Tulsidas. He is son of Dara Singh, who played Hanuman’s role in 1990′s in TV Serial Ramayan. Vindu has already played the role in serials andmovies, and had decided not to play it again.

A movie has been already made on Goswami Tulsidas in 1964. It was directed by B. K. Adarsh, and cast included Shahu Modak, Jaymala, P. Kailash, Tuntun and Sadhna Khote.
