Brave Indian Navy pilot saves a village before his MiG-29 crashed

Lieutenant Commander Vikram Chauhan an Indian navy pilot, realising that the IAF MiG-29 aircraft he was flying, had caught fire turned it away from the residential area of Daroli Khurd village in Jalandhar (Punjab) before ejecting out of the aircraft.

This feat was confirmed by the villagers who witnessed the scene.

Lt Commander Vikram Chauhan was on an attachment to the IAF to train on the MiG-29. Indian Navy will start recieving MiG-29K from 2008 onwards.
