Agni-1 user trial successful

The Strategic Forces Command successfully conducted the user trial of Agni Missile A-I at Chandipur at Sea near Balasore in Orissa at 10.35 this morning. The performance parameters of the 700 km range missile were as expected and the desired objectives have been met.

The user trial of Agni Missile A-I was conducted successfully by Strategic Forces Command at Chandipur at Sea near Balasore in Orissa on October 05, 2007.

The solid-propellant Agni-1 variant was fired from road-mobile launcher. The intermediate range missile was tested from Wheeler Island near Dhamra in Bhadrak district, at about 10:40 am.
