1 a Minute movie released in India, features Namrata Singh Gujral and Lisa Ray

Mumbai: A movie titled 1 a Minute has been release in Indian theaters. Namrata Singh Gujral, Lisa Ray, Mumtaz and Priya Dutt have been featured in the movie. The movie is about breast Cancer. Namrata Singh Gujral, the young Indo-American actress has lost two aunts to breast cancer. in 2008 Gujral herself was diagnosed with breast cancer. Lisa Ray has just recovered from breast cancer.

The movie has been produced by Uniglobe Entertainment and narrated by Kelly McGillis (Top Gun), “1 a Minute.” The movie has a lot of global celebrity women who have been featured to help raise funds for a cure, promote awareness and prevention as well as support survivors of women’s cancers.

The doc also covers interviews with top Western Oncologists such as Dr. Dennis Slamon (Research led to Herceptin), top Eastern medicine practitioners such as Dr. Deepak Chopra as well as experts like Ambassador Nancy G. Brinker (WHO).

The film follows a woman’s journey through cancer with a focus on breast cancer, the most frequently diagnosed cancer in women worldwide. At each stage of her journey, our stars, who are survivors or affected closely by cancer, jump in and recount their experiences. The film is a hybrid between narrative structure and documentary style with interweaves throughout the picture, with stories of “Hope, Courage and Survival”!
